Understanding What Young Blood Therapy Is All About

It is the desire of most people to remain young and youthful. Strength and endurance is associated with youthfulness and the immunity from illnesses. In the past a lot of people have tried to retain their youthful looks by relying on a number of cosmetic products that they purchase over the counter. The results have not been desirable; however, a process known as young blood therapy can be of help.

The process was discovered by Harvard and Stanford university researchers where it was initially tested on mice. They found that old and ageing cells can be rejuvenated and revived by exposing them to young blood. The components in young blood that are responsible for this changes have not been fully known but it is suspected to be the plasma content.

During the research process a group of old mice were injected with blood from a younger group of mice and the results found were groundbreaking. The stem cells within the liver and muscles of the older mice were seen to revive and rejuvenated once they were exposed to the serum from younger mice. Though the experiment was solely tested on mice there is hope that it might eventually work on humans.

In the human beings it is proposed that the experiment should be administered through a blood transfusion. Though a full blown blood transfusion is not likely to bring the kind of result that might be desires, it ought to be applied to specific body parts with a good probability of success. It can be used to speed up the process of healing when applied to an injured body organ especially broken or fractures bones.

This therapy is not only limited to achieving the desired youthful looks, but can be used to reduce the risk of a number of illnesses. The Alzheimers disease, an enlarged heart and dementia re common among old people and their occurrence can be reduced through this from of treatment. This would guarantee a longer lifespan among the old while also elevating the quality of life of these individuals.

The benefits associated with this form of therapy are quite numerous. It has been known to greatly improve memory among old persons. Muscle and body endurance has also been improved due to the presence or more protein content in it. This has enabled older people to work harder and engage in slightly more intense activities. The sense of smell and sight can also be boosted by this procedure.

Though the benefits of such an undertaking are enticing, there are a number of risks that are associated with the procedure. The probability of contracting ailments that may be spread through blood transfusion is high. For the process to be successful blood group to be matched properly. Finally the costs of undergoing such treatments are likely to be very high to the point that few would afford.

The great amount of effort and innovation that has been out towards the development of this research is bound to bear a lot of fruits in future once a reliable way of administering the treatment is identified. The lives of many old people will change for the better with this form of milestone achievement. They will be able to spend more time with their spouses and families.
